The Skyline Tactical Assault Group, or S.T.A.G. is a scenario paintball team based in the Shenandoah Valley of Northern Virginia. Our home field is Skyline Paintball, located in Strasburg, Virginia. Our team members are dedicated to enhancing the sport of woodsball and scenario paintball. While S.T.A.G. does travel to other major events, our primary focus and support is with Skyline Paintball.

Our team is diverse, with a wide age range, weapon choices and backgrounds. S.T.A.G. members range from players with Military and Law Enforcement backgrounds, to working professionals and students. This diversity of personal experience creates a unique atmosphere and provides for an exceptional learning environment for all team members. Each member contributes a great deal of individuality and personality, which also adds to our overall team chemistry. We are committed to player development by sharing our experience and helping new players to the sport. We consider ourselves a family oriented team.

Our mission statement is simple, To be an honorable scenario team that strives for victory through fair play, while maintaining a positive, fun winning attitude. We will continue to grow and evolve, morphing into one of the top scenario teams in the area. We hope to see you on the field!

TEAM MEMBERSHIP

We are an honorable team that strives for victory through fair and honest play while maintaining a positive, fun and winning attitude.  Win or lose, its all about having fun and when on the field, we are serious about our fun. Cant commit full time? Our Reserve squad is for serious players that may only be able to attend as they are able, integrating into the core  squad on an event-by-event basis.

Joining the Reserve squad allows you to check out the team before committing to greater participation, or it gives you the opportunity to play occasionally with a honorable, well-reputed team, even if your schedule doesn't permit you to play more often.

CORE SQUAD MEMBERS

Core members are the heart and soul of the team and the team reputation is built on their attendance and participation. We are a Skyline Paintball sponsored Scenario/Woodsball team and with that sponsorship comes responsibilities. Core players must attend practices and most major team events. They are also depended upon to help run events at Skyline Paintball like Big Games, Scenario Tournaments or any other task requested by the Skyline Staff. To become a core member you must be willing to commit your time to the team and to Skyline Paintball.  Players wishing to become core members are initially evaluated on a trial basis and then are voted in as core-members by decision of the existing core team. You should seriously consider your ability to commit and devote time to the team before deciding to move to core membership.

CORE MEMBER BENEFITS

As a core member, you will be placed on the S.T.A.G. core squad roster that is given to Skyline Paintball (field and stores). Making this list means paint, equipment and other supplies are available at reduced cost from Skyline Paintball, but it also means you now represent S.T.A.G. and more importantly, Skyline Paintball. You also get the opportunity to shape the evolution of the team and to help build its reputation.  Once voted in as a core member, you will have the opportunity to purchase and official Team S.T.A.G. jersey with call-sign and number.

TEAM RULES

1. Honest and Fair play are held to the highest standard. Maturity- (no whiners or sore losers) personal integrity- (no cheaters or wipers) and temperament- we are serious on the field but easy going and friendly off it, to both allies and opponents alike. Hot heads and losing control of your temper will not be tolerated.  READ, UNDERSTAND and ADHERE to this rule.

2. You must have your own equipment. Gun, Mask, Air, Pods etc. Several of us have extra guns and these are used as backups or to introduce new players to the game. Core members are expected to be financially stable and have their own transportation.

3. Frequency of play- To be an asset to this team, you need to be at the field. Core members must be committed to the team's playing schedule. We are not going to make any requirements outrageous.

4. Ability to stay with and work/coordinate with the rest of the team during the game. You may have to follow orders or be in the position to give them. Be flexible and be able to adapt.

5. Abide by ALL rules and requirements of Skyline Paintball or any other field's rules.

S.T.A.G. members should help and support the refs at Skyline Paintball whenever possible.

For example: Safety issues- masks are worn, barrel plugs are used and players tempers controlled.

6. You must attend (play or help ref) the majority of our practices and events. We typically will have one practice a month and play in every Skyline Paintball scenario or big game. We expect every core member to attend the practices and most of the scenarios and big games. If you are unable to attend an official practice/event then you must attend the next one.  If you are not able to meet core membership requirements, you will be placed on reserves until you are able to do so. Anyone on reserves does not have a vote on team matters and is not eligible for team discounts on paint and supplies from Skyline Paintball.

For core team membership a player must attend a minimum of 4 game events, and 1 traveling game and 5 practices throughout the season.  To be considered for one of the reserve member positions, a player must attend a minimum of 2 game events, and 3 practice events throughout the season. (Note- these numbers are subject to change).

7. We know that life does exist outside of paintball and other priorities sometimes get in the way so missed practices/events will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by team leadership. Keep in mind that someone who is always at practices/events and contributing to the team has more leeway than someone who doesn't.
